OFFRES D'EMPLOI ACTUELLES

Sales Consultant

About Lynx
Lynx (finishlynx.com) makes the photo-finish timing technology trusted at the biggest events in sports — the Olympic Trials, the Kentucky Derby, NASCAR, and the Tour de France. Every track, rink, and racetrack that cares about getting the result right, gets it right with our systems.

Lynx was founded in 1992 by Doug DeAngelis, a competitive runner who built the first prototype as an MIT grad student, applying digital line-scan technology to a problem he cared about personally. In 2021, we joined Nevco Sports — the largest private manufacturer of scoring, display, and audio solutions in the U.S., with products in over 100,000 venues worldwide. That combination means you get the focus of a specialist brand with the resources of an industry leader behind you.

The Role
We’re hiring a Sales Consultant to grow Lynx’s presence in sports verticals and market segments we haven’t fully tapped yet. You’ll spend real time prospecting: building target lists, making first contact, and opening doors where Lynx isn’t yet known. From there, you’ll own the sale end-to-end — understanding what a customer actually needs, recommending the right solution, closing it, and staying connected after delivery to make sure, they’re getting full value.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prospect into new verticals and segments making first contact where Lynx has limited to no presence
  • Track new construction and renovation projects: stadiums, tracks, rinks, and racetracks in the planning or building phase. Get Lynx in front of decision-makers early on in the process
  • Reach out to prospective customers and walk them through the right Lynx products for their needs
  • Diagnose each customer’s actual problem and recommend a solution based on value, not just price
  • Answer questions on product fit, pricing, customization, and availability
  • Build quotes and follow up to close sales
  • Stay in touch with customers after delivery, confirm they’re satisfied, offer training, and flag upgrade opportunities
  • Coordinate with the rest of the sales team so outreach stays organized and no territory or account gets double worked
  • Partner with marketing and the Lynx team to plan and run sales campaigns
  • Take on other projects as the team’s needs evolve

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field — or equivalent experience
  • 1–2 years of sales experience, ideally including cold outreach or new-business prospecting (sports industry experience is a plus, not a requirement)
  • A track record of hitting sales targets and managing a pipeline
  • Comfort making first contact with people who’ve never heard of you or the product
  • Strong written and verbal communication with customers, peers, and management alike
  • The ability to build real relationships with customers you may not meet in person
  • Solid time management and organizational habits
  • Genuine interest in sports and how the industry works
  • Familiarity with NetSuite (preferred, not required)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Location
This role is based at our Haverhill, MA headquarters. Candidates must be willing to relocate. Hybrid arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
