Lynx wireless technology also now makes it possible for the media, coaches and spectators to have the Start Lists and Results
- and FinishLynx images! of the events broadcast wirelessly to them anywhere in the stadium.
Within a minute of the end of every race results will be available to anyone with a compatible
handheld computer (PalmOS or Windows CE), wherever they are in the stadium. This information will include qualifiers from heats, and will even include detailed information like wind speeds when it is applicable.
With AirCyber you can even customize a "Watch" list of events you wish to have instant updates on.
Developed by the same team of sports result technology engineers from Lynx System Developers, Inc who developed the FinishLynx photofinish system – that has been in use at Penn for nearly a decade - the wireless ClerkLynx system has revolutionized the spectator experience at Penn Relays and other meets across the country.
In the Clerking area heats are created and athletes are assigned to lanes on the fly by an operator running the ClerkLynx software on
a compatible handheld computer (PalmOS or Windows CE).
With a single click of the stylus on their hand held computer the heat make-up is sent wirelessly to the Database computer where it is available to the FinishLynx operators.
Thanks to this technology and the digital hook up to the infield display boards, spectators and announcers now have up-to-the-minute information on the make-up of every race on the schedule.
