EtherLynx 2000+ Photo-Finish Camera

The EtherLynx 2000+ is a powerful photo-finish camera that produces fully automatic sports timing via digital line-scan images. We introduced the EtherLynx 2000+ (5L420) in 2011 to replace the original 5L200 model. The EtherLynx 2000+ has better light sensitivity than its predecessor and comes standard with a monochrome image sensor, maximum frame rate of 1000 frames per second, and maximum image height of 500 pixels. See below for a list of camera upgrades and add-ons.

The base model of the EtherLynx 2000+ photo-finish camera has a time resolution of 1/1000th of a second and an image height of 500 pixels, which meets all the requirements of a Fully Automatic Timing System (F.A.T.) as defined by the IAAF, ISU, UCI, USF, FISA, NCAA, USATF and many other national and international sporting organizations.

Eight different configurations of the EtherLynx 2000+ photo-finish camera are available; however all cameras can be upgraded to a different specification at any time:

  1. Standard Resolution [1000 fps, 500 pixels], monochrome [256 grays], non-timing.
  2. Standard Resolution [1000 fps, 500 pixels], monochrome [256 grays], timing.
  3. Standard Resolution [1000 fps, 500 pixels], color [2 million colors], non-timing.
  4. Standard Resolution [1000 fps, 500 pixels], color [2 million colors], timing.
  5. High Resolution [2000 fps, 1000 pixels], monochrome [256 grays], non-timing.
  6. High Resolution [2000 fps, 1000 pixels], monochrome [256 grays], timing.
  7. High Resolution [2000 fps, 1000 pixels], color [2 million colors], non-timing.
  8. High Resolution [2000 fps, 1000 pixels], color [2 million colors], timing.

In addition, all EtherLynx 2000+ cameras are available with either c-mount or f-mount (Nikon compatible) lens mountings, and are available with the capability to operate wirelessly over standard 802.11 g Ethernet networks.

The FinishLynx software only requires one camera on a multi-camera configuration to have the Timing functionality. This functionality is automatically shared among all Lynx cameras on the network and offers a considerable cost-savings for multi-camera venues.

Thanks to the tri-linear sensor design, adjustable filter settings, and powerful digital signal enhancement, the camera can captures images in low-light conditions better than any other comparable systems.
