A Camera Boot Error could be due to a number of things, but the best solution is to go back to the basics and simplify the connections and check your setup. Make sure on the FinishLynx computer you have done these three (3) basic steps:
- Set static IP (192.168.0.5)
- DISABLE the wireless card
- Turn OFF the Firewall (and any Anti-virus software).
If you can acquire a Cross-over cable, connect the camera directly to the computer using a cross-over cable to simplify the connections and then try booting the camera. If using standard Ethernet cables and a switch, replace cables one at a time to eliminate any bad cable or a bad connection. If using a multi-port switch, try different connection ports in case there is a loose connection or bad contact. If this does not resolve the booting error, then contact technical support.
